Location of Broadgate Foot Park, Heysham, Lancashire

Broadgate Foot Park is situated on the outskirts of Morecambe between the villages of Heysam and Middleton in a countryside setting close to the beautiful coastline of Morecambe Bay.

Heysham is a historic village with St Peter's Chruch and the church of St Patricks located on the cliffs dating back many hundreds of years

A few miles away is the seaside resort of Morecambe with a shopping centre offering high street name shops and its popular tourist attactions.

These include the popular memorial statue of Eric Morecambe built by Graham Ibbeson M. A. located on the seafront. The promenade at Morecambe offers picturesque views across the bay to the Lake District hills and beyond.

Lancaster is only five miles away and the local views are dominated by the memorial built by William Ashton who was the benefactor of the city. Lancaster Castle offers historians plenty of information about its past and information aobut one of the two only remaining Duchys in the country. Lancaster Castle also remains a working prison.

Lancaster also boasts a busy large shopping centre with a large number of high street chain stores. Within Lancaster are a large number of eating houses and restaurants to tempt all different types of palates.

Williamson Memorial Park offers a relaxing afternoon for all ages with interesting woodland walks and a large butterfly collection all within the large picturesque grounds.

The fells of the Trough of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Park are a short drive away providing relaxing walks, energetic hikes or relaxing steamer rides around the lakes.

The Lake District also has a large number of historic houses and other tourist attractions providing days out for the less active.
